If you’re not overwhelmed by the state of the wo If you’re not overwhelmed by the state of the world, you’re not paying attention. I’m not always all love and light. If I were to be honest. I am angry. I am sad. I feel helpless. This is my protest. My prayer. My resistance - expressed and felt in my body. Being fully in your body and fully alive is both a privilege and a curse. I shake in resistance. I shake for the people of Palestine. For the people who came to this country chasing a dream, only to be exploited by a system built on their backs. For the ones who pick our food, clean our homes, cook in our restaurants, and care for our yards, the hardest working people I know. For the animals, voiceless and commodified. For the Earth herself, choked and burning. I shake to not look away. I shake to stay human. I shake because my nervous system wasn’t built to hold this much grief and rage. The only choice is to stay fully aware, eyes wide open, letting it move through. And then I cry. I cry, knowing my privilege even as I grieve. I cry, not to cleanse it away, but to feel more deeply rooted in what matters. These times call for full presence and full care. Take care of yourself so you can show up for those who need you. This is nervous system work as revolution. Somatics as resistance. The revolution will not be numbed. The revolution will be felt. I’m not sure I’ve ever truly introduced myself I’m not sure I’ve ever truly introduced myself here. Many of you know me, but so much has shifted lately… So here’s a little reintroduction 💛 Hi, I’m Alisha. I’m a functional nutritionist, yoga teacher, somatic healer, and LMFT in training. For nearly 8 years, I’ve helped women reconnect to their bodies and minds using the tools that helped me heal my own. I believe in root-cause, whole-person healing not just another prescription or quick fix. A few things that shape who I am and how I work: I spent 25 years in corporate America as a full-time working mom and head of household. I’ve been married nearly 25 years to the man I met at 17. I’m a newly empty nester. Motherhood will always be my most sacred role. I’m 46, navigating perimenopause through nutrition, movement, self-care, and nervous system support. I’ve lost two of the closest people in my life to overdose, which fuels my passion for natural, compassionate healing. I’ve walked through complex trauma, chronic illness, and mental health struggles and often felt alone in it. I grew up in chaos without emotional support and started working at 12 to support myself. My nervous system was stuck in fight or flight for decades before I found somatic healing. I believe nature holds much of the healing we’re looking for. I’ve always been a seeker searching for softness, safety, and meaning in a world that often feels too harsh for a sensitive soul. Now I help women recover from burnout, balance their hormones, and heal their gut. I teach them how to regulate their nervous system, care for their bodies, and feel like themselves again. I consider myself a wellness alchemist blending ancient wisdom like yoga, Ayurveda, and Buddhism with modern science and nervous system work. Each person’s path is unique, and I help them craft their own healing elixir. This work is personal. It’s sacred. And your first session is always free. Sometimes life blindsides you. You get stuck in t Sometimes life blindsides you. You get stuck in the pain, the hurt, the grief, the disappointment, the letdowns, the silence—the weight of holding it all together. Layer by layer, year after year, your body builds a shell— A quiet protection. A way to keep going. But deep inside… There’s still something alive. Hope. Trust. Safety. Connection. Joy. This client came to me after heartbreak and betrayal—, a severing of the life she thought she had. She felt untethered, disconnected from herself and her future. This is what prolonged stress and loss can do. It pulls you out of your body—out of your center—just to survive. But the body never forgets who you truly are. She had lost her connection to her true self, the version of her that existed before it all happened. She knew it was still in there… She just needed help finding her way back. Back to her power.
